Situated on 344 acres in South Austin, Mary Moore Searight Park offers woodlands, big open fields, small streams, and a large creek perfect for swimming. Heavy hardwood hackberries, oaks, elms, pecans, and juniper spread across the landscape giving life to birds, mammals, reptiles and insects. Down near the creek we find tracks of raccoons, ducks, fish, turtles, snakes and frogs. Playing games in the fields, building forts in the forest and swimming in the creeks, Mary Moore offers a perfect space to help cultivate a deep sense of awareness, belonging and connection in nature for our future generations.
