For students who are logging into the courses of Big History

For educational resources that present a fruitful dialogue between science and the Bible, here are some resources worth exploring. Some of those featured are from BioLogos, some from like-minded organizations, and others from places around the web.

This is not from Big History but it is a good overview of how our current culture approaches creation stories, especially from an academic perspective. Although the word “myth” is often used to denote a story that is untrue, this series uses only the criteria of significance and staying power to decide which myths to describe and leaves truthfulness up to the viewer. This allows these stories to be studied from other perspectives such as psychology, sociology, and literature. It is good to understand this common perspective of lumping origin stories with all mythologies so that we can better understand how many people would be surprised by our claims of the Bible’s exceptionalism.

Christian curricula developed by a certified teacher with 10 years of experience in a Christian school. Basic Foundational Christian Curricula (hence the name) are developed for ages 4+, ages 8+, and ages 10+.

Integrate is designed for home educators and teachers at private Christian schools (grades 6–12). It can also be used by Christian public school families at home.

After years of getting requests for curricula, BioLogos began developing Integrate in 2017. Focus groups with science educators revealed they weren’t looking for a full new curriculum, but rather quality, vetted resources to help students make deeper connections between their Christian faith and the science they were learning. Integrate has been designed to accomplish that goal.

The series of unit studies that comprise Integrate is organized around the main topics covered in a biology course and provides structured activities for a traditional classroom or homeschool use. Many of the units can be used in other science or Bible courses as well. The modular design gives you flexibility to pick and choose the activities that best suit your goals, time constraints, and students’ interests.

This site has many resources examining the idea of an intelligent designer of the universe. The main arguments are from a scientific and philosophical viewpoint and not from a Biblical viewpoint per se. The Discovery Institute that produces this website has many leaders who are supportive of the Judeo-Christian worldview in their personal lives, however.
