A set of blogs by a Christian Ph.D. candidate in geoscience who seeks to especially address the fallacies that are put forth by young earth creationists in the area of the geosciences.
Provides summaries of the views for Young Earth Creationism and of variations of the Old Earth Creationism Views, namely the Day Age View (the view that Big Bible subscribes to), the Intermittent Day View, the Literary Framework View, the Gap View, and the Analogical Day View.
For students who are logging into the courses of Big History
Dr. Bob Bain, an associate professor of educational studies at the University of Michigan, covers criteria about how to assess claims – intuition, authority, logic, and evidence. Although it is counter-cultural to many of the current narratives in our society, we find that Old Earth Creationism does indeed stand up to these claims in a positive way – which is of course the purpose of this website.
An overview of what the Big History project is all about. The official website uses the nomenclature of OER for “Open Educational Resource”, which refers to teaching and learning materials that “are available online, for anyone to use, free of cost.”
For educational resources that present a fruitful dialogue between science and the Bible, here are some resources worth exploring. Some of those featured are from BioLogos, some from like-minded organizations, and others from places around the web.
This is not from Big History but it is a good overview of how our current culture approaches creation stories, especially from an academic perspective. Although the word “myth” is often used to denote a story that is untrue, this series uses only the criteria of significance and staying power to decide which myths to describe and leaves truthfulness up to the viewer. This allows these stories to be studied from other perspectives such as psychology, sociology, and literature. It is good to understand this common perspective of lumping origin stories with all mythologies so that we can better understand how many people would be surprised by our claims of the Bible’s exceptionalism.
Good discussion forum for many Christian topics, including Old Earth Creationism.
Christian curricula developed by a certified teacher with 10 years of experience in a Christian school. Basic Foundational Christian Curricula (hence the name) are developed for ages 4+, ages 8+, and ages 10+.
Series of up-to-date blogs by a teacher in the area of earth sciences and geology. The primary objective of the website is to increase science literacy in the Evangelical Christian community.
Integrate is designed for home educators and teachers at private Christian schools (grades 6–12). It can also be used by Christian public school families at home.
After years of getting requests for curricula, BioLogos began developing Integrate in 2017. Focus groups with science educators revealed they weren’t looking for a full new curriculum, but rather quality, vetted resources to help students make deeper connections between their Christian faith and the science they were learning. Integrate has been designed to accomplish that goal.
The series of unit studies that comprise Integrate is organized around the main topics covered in a biology course and provides structured activities for a traditional classroom or homeschool use. Many of the units can be used in other science or Bible courses as well. The modular design gives you flexibility to pick and choose the activities that best suit your goals, time constraints, and students’ interests.
This site has many resources examining the idea of an intelligent designer of the universe. The main arguments are from a scientific and philosophical viewpoint and not from a Biblical viewpoint per se. The Discovery Institute that produces this website has many leaders who are supportive of the Judeo-Christian worldview in their personal lives, however.
Discussion for the National Center for Science Education concerning Old Earth Creationism, especially the kind as proposed by Hugh Ross and Reasons to Believe.
Christian teaching materials for science that does not embrace a Young Earth perspective.
Numerous Big History videos and playlists covering the different aspects about the history of our universe and the history of mankind.

Their popular Geology Curriculum for homeschooled high school students comes complete with lessons, quizzes, and tests, and best of all…it’s free. See the link on their page for more details. Two other courses are available for the Earth History Curriculum and Dinosaur Curriculum.
They also have our older lessons, in PowerPoint, still available. These are suitable for grades 3-6.
Reasons to Believe (RTB) was established in 1986 by world-renowned Christian astrophysicist, Dr. Hugh Ross. Initially a skeptic, Dr. Ross was later convinced by evidence that words of the Bible are trustworthy.
His search for truth began at age seven when he went to the library to find out why stars are hot. Physics and astronomy captured his curiosity and never let go. After completing his doctorate at the University of Toronto and postdoctoral research at the California Institute of Technology, Ross served on the ministry team at Christ Church Sierra Madre. Enthusiastic response to his scientific defense Scripture’s veracity—based on a breadth and depth of experience in both science and faith—drove him, in 1986, to launch Reasons to Believe.
From a tiny office in Sierra Madre, CA, and a small crew of volunteers, RTB quickly grew. In 1995 RTB unveiled the first Christian website which by now has expanded into a wellspring of articles, blogs, and videos.
Website from a group of Ph.D. speakers whose “desire is to remove obstacles to faith, and renew Christians’ ability to marvel and delight in the discoveries God is revealing in nature”. They provide lectures to various groups from an old earth perspective.
